I've never blogged in long years. Time slips by when life happens. Sometimes you shake your head and it feels like you dozed off those years in oblivion.

My son has grown up! Twelve years old and taller than me. Sometimes he's smug and stands beside me and would measure our height difference. I would show throwback pictures of us together on different occasions over the years and then just revere on little snippets of recollections. Those were the good times!

I understood now when acquaintances would say "enjoy him!".  The time with your children is precious. And it has time limits somehow. In a couple of years, I'll have a teenager. Do we want to hang out with each other full time? I don't think so. I'll be happy to him set his own little circle.

So, here I am back to this precious blog that I've forgotten that I have. I know for sure I have different topics I can explore...not just the mommy side (of which I believe became so boring that I wrapped this under the rug).

Here's to a new beginning of sweet little things! 🙂

February 2012 was our first visit to Calgary when my sister gave birth to her daughter. It was exciting times in unexpected weather. February is the 'peak' of winter, but we braved it.

Our first time to experience snow. Staying indoor, I've learned, is the best way to survive the cold. But can't expect to hibernate all the time that we were visiting, can't we? So, out we go to 'enjoy' the weather. And boy, it took more than 30 minutes to dress up for the weather but took only 15 minutes to stay outside. But my 5 yr old is having a time of his life. He likes it!

So, coming back to the sunny LA we decided to visit the mountains of Angeles National Park before all these white powders are gone.

That snowman is a treat! Someone must have left it there. Because back in Calgary, we can't stand too long to play in the snow, much more to build one.

Pretty cold-blooded, we are!
